Anthony Pece (Hon.BA KINE)

Anthony Pece is a graduate of the Kinesiology and Health Sciences Specialized Honours program at York University. He is a member of the York U Deans Honour Roll, and is a former competitive Canadian soccer player and National Champion. He specializes in the strength and conditioning aspect of the game and is very passionate about athletics, and enhancing the health and fitness of all soccer players. Anthony has previous work experience training various boys and girls OPDL soccer clubs, NTC programs, and even athletes at the professional level (U20 FIFA Canadian Women’s Soccer Team).

  • 2006 Ontario Cup Gold Medalist/2006 Ottawa Summer Games Gold Medalist/2010 Ontario Cup Gold Medalist
  • Winner of two Robbie Int’l Tournaments
  • Member of the U15 Canadian NTC soccer squad
  • Played semi-professionally within the Canadian Soccer League
  • Member of the York University Varsity Soccer Team- 2010 National Champions
  • CIS Academic All-Canadian Athletic Award
  • Ontario University Athletic Achievement Award

Anthony’s main focus includes:

  • Aerobic conditioning routines to improve cardiovascular fitness
  • Speed, agility, and endurance programs (with and without ball)
  • High performance anaerobic explosive running drills (with and without ball)
  • High intensity plyometric (aka “jump-training) and interval circuit training
  • Hip, knee, ankle, and stability strengthening-preventative injuries
  • Core training –calisthenics conditioning
  • Static and dynamic warm up/cool down exercises
